Dear Ava,

How do you start writing a letter to someone, six years after breaking their heart?

Ava is unlucky in love as well as in life. The new office bitch has landed the dating column Ava wanted, and she can’t remember the last time she had a second date. It’s a good thing she has best friends Max and Gwen to pick up the pieces.

Deep down, Ava knows the reason why one date never turns into two – she’s in love with someone else. Someone she’s never even met.

It all started six years ago, with a letter from a secret admirer, Mr Writer…but then they suddenly stopped and Ava was heartbroken.

Now the letters have started again and Ava knows it could mean winning back the dating column at work. This time she’s determined to unmask Mr Writer…and find out once and for all if he’s Mr Right or Mr Very Definitely Wrong!

The Review

I got this eBook for free from Carina. And even though I have the longest TBR list in the world I just could not resist reading this book. The Books starts with Ava,  she works for a magazine and dreams of writing her own column. But to get the job she has to go head to head with her arch nemesis Madeline. But also Ava has a secret admirer who used to write her the most romantic letters about 6years ago. She never quite found out who it was and just when she had given up on all of it the letters started again. But this time she is determined to find out who Mr Writer is.

With her best friends Max and Gwen Ava is determined to win the competition to write for the dating column and find Mr Writer.

So when I started reading this book I did think a little about Bridget Jones, queue Mark Darcy telling her ” I like you, just the way you are”…. (I should have inserted a meme here right?)

But this one was just a bit more entertaining I think.

What did I like? This book was hilarious and sweet and just so entertaining. The book made me smile as I was reading it, the times when Ava met with the people she suspected could be her Mr Writer were just the best. It just shows you never know how people turn out after university. This book also points out the fact that the person you could end up with might right in front of you as a long time friend or just someone you never saw as the perfect partner. At the end of it all I loved the ending,  there were times I wanted to slap Ava in the face but also Max needed to just have a spine. Lovely ending to the story. 5 romantic stars from me.
