The steamy story of Annabel Frost and Aidan Flynn continues … Can you handle the heat?

Before Aidan Flynn had swept into her life with the destructive force of a wildfire, Annabel Frost had thought she’d had all she needed from her life. A successful career, financial independence, emotional restraint. Things that were safe, secure, steady. Everything her childhood hadn’t been.

Aidan represented none of that. Reckless and risky he’d been the red hot flame that melted the icy layers of her long-frozen heart. Having run from him once, Annabel should have learnt to leave trouble well enough alone.

But now Aidan is back, turning up the heat. And regardless of the danger of getting herself badly burned, Annabel can’t seem to resist the temptation to play with this particular fire.

Review

This is the awesome steamy sequel to Melting Ms Frost, which was Kat Black’s debut novel. I suggest you read that one first to truly and fully appreciate this sequel. Although I like that even if you haven’t read the first book you can still enjoy this book on its own.

The story kicks off from where book one ended, Annabel and Aidan are getting things back on track although Annabel now has nightmares about the attach from her mother’s ex-boyfriend. Aidan asks her to get some help but her usual stubborn self decides she can handle it herself in her own way. Aidan is patient with her and does his best to help her along the way. And as much as Annabel tries to rebuild the icy world she is used to she just can’t resist letting Aidan in as he patiently and lovingly melts all her defences.

Slowly but surely she is falling for Aidan but will she ever admit it?

I really loved Aidan’s character; he is adventurous and full of life wanting to experience everything having been close to death once. Every woman needs an Aidan in her life, I certainly need one. I know a lot of this type of story has been overdone but Kat Black manages to make this a story where you connect with the characters and you just fall in love with the story. The steamy lovemaking scenes are tastefully done not like some of the other titles out there.

I loved book one and can say book two was the most awesome ending to the Aidan-Annabel story.
